Role Switching

Feedback Studio for iPad supports user role switching! As an instructor, you can mark and grade your students' submissions. As a student, you can submit papers to your assignments and view your instructor's feedback all from one app. In order for all of your instructor and student classes to appear in-app, you must be using the same email address for both roles.

Note: Submitting on behalf of a student is only available via the desktop version of Turnitin. Paper submissions via the Feedback Studio for iPad app can only be made by students themselves.

If you're an instructor and a student across different classes...

...we've got you covered. Simply use the Instructor, Student or Both tab at the top of your Classes list to display your instructor-only classes, student-only classes, or all of the classes associated with you. For example, if you're an instructor in Class A, but a student in Class B, you'll see the role switch filter.

If you're an instructor and a student in the same class...

...we will show only the instructor view in this instance, as we can only support one user type per individual class. In order to access the student view of this class, you must access the desktop version of Turnitin.

If you don't have multiple roles in Turnitin...

The filter won't appear in your Classes list in this instance. For example, if you're an instructor in all of your classes, you won't need to see this filter. However, if you ever become a student in a Turnitin class, the filter will appear at this point.

You must to post a comment.
