Prompt: In literature, an allegory is a complete narrative or story that represents a deeper, more hidden meaning, typically about an abstract political or moral idea. Similarly, a fable is a tale that is intended to teach a moral lesson; in addition, traditional fables use animals to convey their ideas.

The novel Animal Farm is widely recognized as an allegory that incorporates elements of a traditional fable. After reading the novel, write an essay that analyzes the ways in which Orwell uses these elements to highlight the theme. Be sure to include evidence from the text to support your claim about how Orwell utilizes the format and structure of allegory and fable to convey a more abstract message about human nature.
