Prompt: To Kill a Mockingbird is one of the most widely read literary works of modern times. Interestingly, the novel has also attracted controversy for its approach to intense and sometimes difficult subjects. Critics and readers alike have struggled to internalize the complex characters, plot, and conflict that Harper Lee, the author, explores throughout the novel.

Write an essay analyzing how Harper Lee addresses the conflicts of prejudice, racism, classism, discrimination, and/or gender bias through the characters in her novel, To Kill A Mockingbird.
