Administrators can create and modify student and teacher accounts.
Both types of accounts require specific user information.
Email or Username*
Passwords can also be randomly generated.
While not mandatory, using email addresses instead of usernames allows for students to reset their own password.
On the other hand, usernames accommodate for students lacking an email address, but require teachers to reset the password for the student.
Usernames are particularly helpful when students lack an email address, but have something like school ID numbers or codes they can use instead of an email account. There is no length or character requirement for usernames.
In some cases it may be necessary to add a school specific "tag" if the desired username is particularly common.
Desired username: jsmith
Accepted username: jsmith+PittMS
After selecting the type of account, the steps to create either a student or a teacher account are almost identical.
If creating a student account, choose either a username or email type account.
If creating a teacher account, an email address must be used.
If you have an intended password you can specify or have Revision Assistant create one.
Passwords must be at least 8 characters in length.
You can navigate back to the account list or create another account by clicking the corresponding button.
