This guide explains how to access the AI Writing Report within the new and classic Similarity Reports.

From the new Similarity Report

Access the AI writing report from the top menu by selecting the AI Writing tab, which contains the overall percentage of text detected as AI.

From the classic Similarity Report

When you open the classic Similarity Report, the AI Writing indicator appears in the toolbar on the right-side panel. To open the AI Writing Report, select the AI percentage displayed in the indicator.

The icon color reflects its status and may appear blue, gray, or red, based on the statuses below:

A blue indicator means the submission processed successfully and displays the percentage of qualifying text likely generated by AI. Select the percentage to open the AI Writing Report in a new tab (ensure pop-ups are allowed).
\"asterisk
An asterisk (*%) appears when AI detection is below 20%, where results are less reliable and false positives are more likely. In this range (1–19%), no exact percentage or highlights are shown to reduce misinterpretation.
\"AI_Indicator_Null_218x156.png\"
A gray indicator with no percentage means the submission could not be processed for AI writing detection. This may occur if the submission predates AI detection or does not meet the file requirements.
\"AI_Indicator_Error_220x157.png\"
An error icon means the submission failed to process and the AI Writing Report cannot be opened. Try again later, and contact support if the issue persists and the file meets all requirements.
