Before you begin
Talk to your Blackboard or Turnitin Administrator to make sure your institution has access to Handwritten Assignments.
Step 1 - Launch Turnitin in Blackboard
The process for creating an assignment in Blackboard differs depending on whether your course is an Ultra View or an Original View course. Use the tabs below to locate the guidance that best fits your workflow.
- From the Courses page in Blackboard, select the name of the course you'd like to create an assignment for.
- Under Course Content, select the + sign.
- From the dropdown that appears, select Content Market.
- Select your Turnitin tool.
The Turnitin tool is named by your account administrator upon creation. Ask your administrator if you are unsure what the Turnitin tool for your account is called.
- From the course you would like to add the assignment to, navigate to the Content section.
- Select Build Content.
- From the Create column, Select the Turnitin option. The Turnitin tool is named by your account administrator upon creation.

Step 2 - Create a Handwritten Assignment

On the Turnitin Assignment Creation page, select Handwritten Assignments. Your Handwritten Assignment will launch in the Paper to Digital app.
