Creating a Handwritten Assignment in Moodle LTI 1.3

Before you begin

Talk to your Moodle or Turnitin Administrator to make sure your institution has access to Handwritten Assignments.

Step 1 - Launch Turnitin in Moodle 

  1. Navigate to the course you would like to add Turnitin to, and select Edit mode.
  2. Select Add an activity or resource.Moodle_AddActivityButton.png
  3. If the admin has placed Turnitin as an activity, choose the Turnitin activity listed. If the admin has placed Turnitin as an external tool only, choose External Tool.

    • If you have the option to choose Turnitin directly as an activity, select Select content. By selecting this, you are enabling deep linking for the assignment in your course.

    • If you have the option to choose Turnitin as an external tool, select Turnitin from the Pre-Configured tool dropdown, then select Select content. By selecting this, you are enabling deep linking for the assignment in your course.

Step 2 - Create a Handwritten Assignment

  1. On the Turnitin Assignment Creation page, select Handwritten Assignments. Your Handwritten Assignment will launch in the Paper to Digital app.

  2. Continue with the instructions for Creating a Handwritten Assignment and Grading a Handwritten assignment.
