Creating QuickMarks and QuickMark sets

In this guide:

Creating QuickMarks

You can create your own QuickMark comments in the QuickMark Manager. This allows you to create class or curriculum specific marks that may not be part of the sets provided by Turnitin or the account administrator.

  1. Access the QuickMark Manager from the in-context marking tool or QuickMarks side panel.
  2. Ensure the QuickMark set that you would like to add the new QuickMark to is selected. To navigate to another set, select the menu icon in the top, left-hand corner of the QuickMark Manager. From the list, choose the set you would like to add to.
  3. Select the + icon in the QuickMarks column header.

  4. Enter a title and a description into the fields provided. Formatting and hyperlinks are available for your QuickMark's description, too.

  5. Select Save to create the new QuickMark or Cancel to abort.

Creating new QuickMark sets

A QuickMark set is a collection of QuickMarks grouped together under a title.

  1. Access the QuickMark Manager from the in-context marking tool or QuickMarks side panel.
  2. Select the menu icon in the top left-hand corner of the QuickMark Manager. This can be found next to the set title.
  3. Select Create new set.
  4. Enter a title for the QuickMark set in the text box, and then select Save.
    • Alternatively, select Cancel to select another item from the menu.

    • Alternatively, you can select on any single mark and then select + Add to set.

  3. Select Create new set.
  4. Add a title for the new set in the text box provided.
  5. Select Save to create the set.
