Resubmitting and managing submissions

A guide for students on resubmitting to their Standard Assignments and how to manage their submissions.

In this guide:

Resubmitting to an assignment

If your instructor has enabled resubmissions and the due date has not passed, you may resubmit your assignment up to three times in 24 hours. The 24 hours starts from when you make your first submission or resubmission of that day.

We recommend checking that your submission has not been graded before resubmitting. Resubmitting overwrites your previous submission, so any grading will be lost. As your resubmission overwrites any previous submissions, they will not match against each other in your Similarity Report.

Managing your submissions

Once you have made a submission, you will be unable to delete it from the assignment. Resubmitting will overwrite a previous submission if you have uploaded an incorrect file.

If you are unable to resubmit or if there is a reason that the submission needs to be removed from Turnitin, contact your instructor, and they will help you based on your institution’s policies.
