The administrator of your LMS must first configure the Turnitin LTI integration before Turnitin assignments can be created.

  1. Log in as a Schoology instructor.
  2. From the top of any page within Schoology, select the Courses tab, then select the course in which you would like to create an assignment.
  3. In your course, go to the Add Materials tab and choose Turnitin Feedback Studio from the options.

2. If you have access to multiple Turnitin products, you may see this screen in which you can choose which assignment type you want to create.

Editing a Turnitin assignment in your LTI integration

Some assignment settings can only be edited within the Turnitin assignment, while other assignment settings can only be edited in your LMS's assignment list.

If you attempt to edit settings using the assignment settings, any greyed out fields or settings would need to be edited on your LMS side from the assignment list within the course view.

Grading and feedback tools

Grades entered in the Turnitin viewer are sent to the gradebook as soon as they are awarded. If you do not want students to see the grade before the feedback release date, use your LMS's grade hiding functionality to hide them.
