This guide helps instructors using Blackboard LTI 1.3 filter student submission lists by Blackboard groups in Turnitin Feedback Studio. Filtering by groups can make it easier to manage submissions by section, team, or other course group.
All Group Sets created in Blackboard LTI 1.3 automatically appear as filter options in Turnitin Feedback Studio. If a group does not appear, check that the group is set up in Blackboard and that your assignment is using Blackboard LTI 1.3.
Instructors using Blackboard LTI 1.3 can filter the submission list by Blackboard groups from the Assignment Inbox. Any Group Sets defined in Blackboard LTI 1.3 automatically appear as filter options in the submission list. No extra setup is needed.
Group filtering is available for:
- Standard assignments
- Student Writing Assignments
Groups and Group Sets are only available for customers using Blackboard LTI 1.3. Speak to your administrator if you need to upgrade from LTI 1.1 to LTI 1.3.
Filter submissions by Blackboard group
Use the group filter to narrow the submission list to students in a specific Blackboard group.
- From the Assignment Inbox, go to the submission list.
- Choose the group or Group Set dropdown at the top of the submission list.
- Choose the Blackboard group you want to view.
The submission list updates to show students in the selected group.
To view all students again, choose the option that shows the full submission list.
