Viewing other submitted works matched to the same text
To display the list of all submitted works matched to the same text in the submission:
- While viewing the Sources list, select the Show overlapping sources toggle on. Source cards will now indicate the number of submitted works (currently “student papers” for Feedback Studio, Originality Check and Originality Check+ licenses) or similar URLS matched.
- Select a source card with submitted works indicated to expand it.
- Selecting View other sources under the matched text displays the list of all submitted works matched to the submission.
Viewing Source details for submitted works
When a matched source is a submission in an institutional repository, either submitted to your institution or another, and you have permission to view it, selecting the icon under the source name will display available details about that source.
Source details include:
- Name - The name of the author of the document as submitted to Turnitin
- Email - The author's email address
- Upload Date - When the document was submitted to Turnitin
- Assignment - The name of the assignment
- Submission Title - The title of the document as submitted to Turnitin
If you do not have permission to view the submitted work, the following Private content message will display: "This content is private and cannot be viewed."
Downloading works submitted to your institution
If a Turnitin administrator has Submission release enabled in your institution's account settings, and text matches another student paper submitted to your institution, instructors have the ability to download the original submission file from the Similarity Report.
- While viewing the Sources list, select the Show overlapping sources toggle on.
- Select the
icon under the source name to open the Source details.
- Select the Download Source File button.
