In this guide:
- Open a Multipart assignment
- View assignment part details
- Move between parts while reviewing a submission
Open a Multipart assignment
Multipart assignments appear in your assignment list as separate parts. When you open the submission list for a part, a badge shows which part you are viewing and the total number of parts in the Multipart assignment.
A banner appears if you have not opened every part of the Multipart assignment in your LMS. Open each remaining part to ensure students can see all parts in the Multipart Overview.
The banner no longer appears after you have opened every part.
To open a Multipart assignment:
- Go to your assignment list.
- Find the part of the Multipart assignment you want to review.
- Select the assignment title.
The assignment opens to the submission list for the selected part. Each part of a Multipart assignment has its own submission list. The submission list shows student submissions and available report indicators for that part.
View assignment part details
You can view the assignment details for the current part, including the instructions, dates, rubric, template, and submission settings, by selecting Show Details.
You can edit the settings for any part from the current part by selecting Edit Settings. Only parts that you have opened in the LMS are available to edit.
Move between parts while reviewing a submission
When reviewing a student submission that is part of a Multipart assignment, you can use the View Parts menu to move between that student’s submissions for the Multipart assignment.
To view another part for the same student:
- Open a student submission from the Submission list.
- Select View Parts.
- Choose the part you want to view.
The selected part opens for the same student.
A part may show No submission if the student has not submitted to that part. The current part is marked with Current in the View Parts menu.
