To change your Turnitin email, password, or secret question:
- Log in to turnitin.com (or turnitinuk.com if you are in the UK).
- Select your name or User Info at the top right of the page.
Change your email
Changing your email will cause all sessions you had open that had used your previous email will be expired. Please ensure all work is finished before proceeding with an email change.
To change your email, select the Change your email link. This will send the email address linked with your account an email with instructions on how to change your email
The link in this email will expire in one hour.
Selecting the link in the email will take you to the 'Change User Email' page. From here you can enter a new email.
Once you have entered your new email, select Next to proceed.
Change your password
Changing your password will cause all sessions you had open that had used your previous password will be expired. Please ensure all work is finished before proceeding with a password change.
To change your password, select the Change your password link. This will send the email address linked with your account an email with instructions on how to change your password.
The link in this email will expire in one hour.
Selecting the link in the email will take you to the 'Reset User Password' page. From here you can create a new password.
Your password must:
- have a minimum of 12 characters
- include at least one number (0-9)
- include upper and lower case letters (a-z, A-Z)
- include at least one special character
- not include blank spaces
Once you have entered your new password, select Next to proceed.
Change your secret question
To change your secret question, locate the Secret question dropdown and choose a new one. Once you have chosen a new question and then enter the answer in the field below it.
Select Submit at the bottom of the page to save.
