In this guide:
Turnitin has a variety of assignments and tools that can be accessed in Microsoft Teams using Feedback Studio. This quickstart guide can help you navigate using Turnitin in your Microsoft Teams environment.
Create a Turnitin assignment in Microsoft Teams
To create an assignment or access other Turnitin tools:
- Ensure that Turnitin is added to the channel you'd like to create the assignment under. For more information, view our guidance on how to add the Turnitin tab.
You may be asked to reauthorize when connecting to Turnitin if you've recently logged out of your Microsoft Teams account since the last time you accessed it. Log in again with your Microsoft Teams credentials if prompted. - From the Turnitin tab, select the Create Assignment button.
If you haven't created an assignment yet, the button will appear in place of the assignment list.
A modal will appear, allowing you to select an assignment or other Turnitin tools. The assignments available to you will depend on your institution’s license.

Edit a Turnitin assignment in Microsoft Teams
Some assignment settings can or should only be edited within the Turnitin assignment, while others can or should only be edited in the Microsoft Team's settings.
Use the reference table to learn more about where each setting should be edited. Any unlisted settings can be edited within the Turnitin assignment settings.

* To edit the assignment title, return to the Turnitin assignment list and select the pencil icon beside an assignment name to edit the title.
Select the checkmark icon to save your changes, or use the x icon to discard them.
