Best practices for organizing QuickMarks
- Group QuickMarks by writing focus (for example: grammar, structure, argumentation, citations).
- Use clear, action-oriented names:
- ✅ Cite your source (instead of ❌ Citation)
- ✅ Strengthen your thesis (instead of ❌ Thesis)
- ✅ Clarify topic sentence (instead of ❌ Topic sentence)
- Keep feedback brief and constructive; focus on what the student can do next.
- Review and refine sets regularly so they align with current rubrics and assignment goals.
- Share sets with colleagues to build consistency across courses and programs.
